Back to school! Rano’O, the project that improves water quality in Madagascar’s schools while teaching students to wash their hands. A three-part system:
A handwashing station, or smart sink that senses the presence of students and shows them how to properly wash their hands for a set amount of time.
A gray water treatment system to reuse the water in the gardens or to clean the toilets or classrooms.
A filtered water tank to provide drinking water to the students every day.
The authors and creators of Rano’O are three young people who are retraining and looking for employment.
